Membership Application Process:

  • Fill out the online application pertaining to your Member Type.
  • The application will be submitted automatically to our Board of Directors and Membership Committee for review.
  • If there is any additional information needed, the Membership Committee will reach out to the contact on the application form.
  • Once the application is reviewed and approval is finalized, you will receive an approval letter. If you did not meet the requirements, you will also receive a letter encouraging you to fulfill the requirements and re-apply.
  • Following the approval process, you will receive an email prompting you to pay for the membership.
  • Once the payment is received, you will receive a welcome letter with further instructions on how we will showcase your new membership to our members through our email blasts and social media.


EXPEDITING AND DIRECT AIR CARRIER MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

  1. In business for at least 2 years.
  2. MC & DOT for at least 2 years.
  3. Applicants warrant that all vehicles, whether owned or leased, are insured with a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence in BI & PD coverage and cargo insurance of $100,000 per occurrence with coverage coextensive to common carrier liability.
  4. Must abide by Map-21 brokerage and freight forwarder guidelines, notifying all parties to transactions before shipments are handled through broker or forwarder affiliates.
  5. Certificates of Insurance and Scheduled Autos need to be sent to info@teana.org from your Insurance Company.
  6. Have a minimum Credit Score requirement of 85.
  7. Must sign a pledge to adhere to the Association's Code of Ethics. Those who refuse to abide by the Code of Ethics are not permitted to join.
  8. Must agree to abide by all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations and if applicable, Canadian laws and regulations.


VENDOR MEMBER REQUIREMENTS

  • Vendor Members are companies or individuals who sell products to Expediting Members or employ the services of these Members, such as members of the trade press.
  • These members must meet the same standards as Voting Members and maintain a standard of conduct consistent with the TEANA ethical guidelines.
  • All representatives from Vendor Member Companies are eligible to hold office within the Association.
  • Vendor Applications are subject to Board Approval.

    Expediting members who have been a TEANA Member for at least three years can apply for ELITE status.  We hope to recruit new companies into TEANA and help educate them on best practices for the industry. Please do not apply for ELITE status until all requirements are met.

    Why Become a TEANA Elite Member? For the following reasons:

    1. Elite Members meet a higher level of qualification.
    2. You are seen as a Premiere Level Member, "Best in Class."
    3. Your company can use the regular TEANA or Elite Logo on your website, email signature, and promotional materials.
    4. You will be recognized as an Elite Member at The Annual Conference and other events.

    TEANA Elite Member Requirements: 

    • Must be a TEANA Member for at least three years
    • TEANA Member Company must have contributed time to TEANA throughout the years by attending Annual Conferences, serving on the Board of Directors and/or volunteering to serve on committees
    • A member of your company will sit on a TEANA Committee
    • You will try to have at least one company representative at the yearly Conference
    • Your company has not been suspended due to an ethics complaint against your company in the past 12 months.
    • Your company has continuous active authority and insurance for a minimum of three years
    • Your company has a TransCredit score of 90 or higher
